Job DetailsJob Location: Christie Lodge - Avon, CO 81620Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: NoneSalary Range: $23.50 - $27.03 HourlyJob Shift: Day Employee Housing Available- Ask for details JOB SUMMARY: Performs facility maintenance services and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing and electrical servicing. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Must be able to work under immediate supervision. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Is knowledgeable in the procedures and safety measures in area(s) of specialty. Must have experience and be able to demonstrate proficiency with modification to equipment. Preventative maintenance on equipment. Will be required to help with outside building maintenance. Preventative maintenance in units and building Will be required to perform snow removal using manual means and powered equipment as well as other seasonal tasks. May also be called upon to help other teams and departments as needed. A valid CO drivers license is strongly preferred for tasks that require driving a Bobcat, forklift, plow truck and other company vehicles. Always be aware of chemicals being used, proper usages. Maintain a safe working environment and wears appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when using loud powered equipment or machines, chemicals, cleaning supplies or any other items that require PPE. Must be able to communicate with radios and communicate/respond effectively with co-workers and management. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to be sensitive to owners/guests needs and wishes. Must be able to work independently, be detail oriented, interface with guests when necessary and have excellent customer service skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, co-workers and supervisors. Ability to deal with irate guests in a calm, professional manner. Problem solving skills are necessary as it relates to maintenance issues and Unit 1 calls. Ability to follow instructions and implement company policies and procedures. Fluency in English speaking and writing is required for guest interactions. Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required. Other duties as assigned.   Qualifications Education Not required. Experience/Knowledge A minimum of 6 months prior resort hotel maintenance experience in a resort of similar size is highly preferred. Other related maintenance experience will be considered. Must have basic knowledge of common maintenance tasks. Knowledge of chemical usage, equipment usage and safety and security Computer Skills None required. Certifications None required.
