Position OverviewÂ
The Registration Specialist supports primary care operations by providing exceptional customer service and facilitating patient flow from arrival through departure. This role ensures accurate patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and communication while working closely with patients, providers, nursing staff, MAs, and clinic leadership.Â

Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
Greet and assist patients with check‑in and check‑outÂ
Schedule appointments and manage clinic workflowsÂ
Work insurance and demographic queues to ensure accurate recordsÂ
Answer incoming calls and route patients and visitors appropriatelyÂ
Collect and validate patient demographic and insurance informationÂ
Explain department policies, charges, and payment expectationsÂ
Enter information accurately to support reimbursement and clinical outcomesÂ
Communicate effectively with patients, providers, nursing teams, MAs, and managersÂ
Support primary care clinic operations with professionalism and efficiencyÂ
Requires the ability to take initiative and meet objectivesÂ

High School Diploma or GED requiredÂ
Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferredÂ
Ability to learn and retain medical coding concepts (ICD‑10, CPT preferred)Â
Ability to interpret insurance informationÂ
Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical practices preferredÂ
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Â
