Your role as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant / COTA

Your key responsibilities will include assisting in client assessments, implementing therapeutic interventions, and supporting clients in developing adaptive techniques. Are you the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant / COTA we're looking for?

To be successful as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) at Wee Care Corporation, candidates must possess a valid certification and current state licensure along with a graduation from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for effectively collaborating with clients, families, and fellow healthcare team members. The ability to work within a supportive and collaborative environment is crucial, as you'll be coordinating care with other professionals. While two years of experience in the field is preferred, we welcome entry-level professionals with a strong willingness to learn.

Familiarity with various occupational therapy interventions and techniques will enhance your ability to support clients in achieving their goals. Additionally, candidates must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to members' homes or community locations, ensuring that treatment is delivered in accordance with each member's Certified Plan of Care. A Level 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card is also required or must be obtained.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
  • Current state licensure.
  • Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a collaborative environment.
  • 2 years of experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (preferred but not required for entry-level positions).
  • Familiarity with various occupational therapy interventions and techniques.
  • Possess or be able to obtain a Level 1 Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation to travel to members' homes or community locations to provide ongoing treatment based on the members Certified Plan of Care
