Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Operates and maintains proper operation for the treatment plant to control flow and adjustment of valves. 
  • Perform daily inspection of treatment plant probes, pumps, filters, tanks, and controllers 
  • Observes variations in operating conditions and interprets meter and gauge readings and test results to determine proper requirements. Periodic calibration of analytical instrumentation required. 
  • Provide proper records of the plant as well as discharge  levels 
  • Collect weekly samples for lab analysis. 
  • Record daily readings of the treatment plant as well as daily water meter readings in specific areas throughout the production facility. 
  • Maintain proper inventory of chemicals 
  • Additional duties may be required 

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Proficient in the use of tools necessary in the repair, installation and troubleshooting of equipment. 
  • Must be computer literate. 
  • One to three years similar work experience in the operation and maintenance of a high volume wastewater treatment facility. 
  • Must have and maintain a Massachusetts grade 4 wastewater license or higher.
