Description

OVERVIEW:

The incumbent will work as a paint helper to paint the interior and exterior of structures and other surfaces. This job is very important since good painting has both practical and aesthetic benefits.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Follow written and oral instructions assigned
Read blueprints/instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary
Paint surfaces according to the instructions with various tools
Apply paint and other finishes
Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions
Keep the general work area clean, organized and free of trash and clutter
Other duties as assigned by the area supervisor
Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.)
Good basic math skills
Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders etc.
Conscientious with great attention to detail
