Job DetailsJob Location: Western Center - Baileyville, KS 66404Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: 4 Year DegreeSUMMARY The MOA Instructor will instruct and prepare students for workforce employment as a Medical Assistant. This instructional position is the primary individual responsible for program development, instruction, recruitment, and placement of students. As many of the duties will be supervising groups of students without benefit of additional help or administrative supervision, the job requires significant self-discipline, internal motivation, and sound judgment.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1.         Teach students the necessary skills/technical knowledge to become gainfully employed; 2.         Develop and revise instructional curriculum; 3.         Recruit students and market the program; 4.         Provide instruction on and access to on-the job training. Maintain records of OJT assignments; 5.         Develop student knowledge and awareness as to the importance of industrial safety, punctuality, personal             cleanliness, work ethic, and communication skills; 6.         Assist with employment placement of graduates; 7.         Create a safe and orderly learning environment: 8.         Ensure student achievement for all student groups by monitoring the progress of individual students and student             groups through the use of appropriate testing techniques and with the assistance of technology when appropriate; 9.         Build positive school/community relations by supporting the mission of the College and facilitating cooperation             between all persons in the school community; 10.       Lead the students in developing constructive peer and student/instructor relations; 11.       Oversee effective and efficient student performance; 12.       Practice responsible fiscal, facility, and resource management; 13.       Model positive professional attributes; 14.       Attend professional meetings; 15.       Select and consult with advisory committee members; 16.       Attend commencement ceremonies; 17.       Other duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience       -Have a minimum of two years continuous on-the-job experience; must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record for the past 5 years. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for overall supervision of students in class.  May be assigned supervision of Work Study/Work Arrangement Students.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include planning, assigning and directing student's work.
