Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Cook is to deliver the highest quality food service possible for a positive senior living experience for all our residents and employees at BSL.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Resident Engagement: Provide top notch dining services while creating positive interactions with our residents
  2. Team Player: Communicate effectively with co-workers to ensure top level dining services are provided while working together to problem solve
  3. Community Relations:  Build strong relationships with residents, their families, and the broader community to create a supportive and inclusive living environment.
  4. Quality of Care: Ensure highest quality of dining services are provided to residents while meeting their physical, emotional, and social needs.
  5. Organizational Support and Professionalism: Follows all policies and procedures while supporting the organization’s goals and values and remaining professional at all times.

Qualifications:

  1. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D) preferred

 

  1. Abilities:
    1. Proficient at reading, writing, and communicating in English
    2. Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
    3. Able to push, pull, carry and walk 80% of the work day
