About the Position  

Seeking an ambitious, hard-working, experienced excavator Operator to join our new project team in Oxbow, Oregon. Experience operating 200 – 470-sized excavators safely.

Must be willing to work other miscellaneous duties as directed by the supervisor. This person must be willing to carry out company policies and values while thriving in a team setting. 

Project Overview: IMCO is performing improvements on the Oxbow dam spillway. This is a very large site located in a remote region.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Starting pay is $40-46 an hour, depending on demonstrated abilities  
  • Housing options are limited due to the remote location, and company-provided housing is also limited.
  • Per diem is available for those who provide their own accommodations, such as a trailer.
  • Medical, vision, and dental insurance coverage available on the first day of the month following 60 days of full-time employment.  
  • 401K plan available for eligible employees on the first of the month following 60 days of full-time employment. IMCO offers 100% contribution matching up to 4% of the employee’s eligible wages.  


Responsibilities

This list is an overview of responsibilities and may not include all duties required for the position. 

  • Work with ground personnel
  • Ensure safe work procedures are followed with careful attention to operations near ground personnel and equipment
  • Understanding of soil types
  • Daily work plans, reports, and timecards
  • Lift 50 pounds   
  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or company security operations for the protection of people and property.

Location & commitments 

  • Project Location – Oxbow, Oregon
  • Overtime may be available
  • Evening/weekend work may be necessary to meet milestones


Requirements and Qualifications 

  • Current and valid driver’s license
  • 2 years of equipment operating experience 
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
  • Experience and backfill around existing utilities with precision
  • Experience pothole procedure, pipeline, and grade compaction
  • Experience and utilize knowledge of safe excavation, trenching, and shoring practices
  • Experience proper rigging for all materials being lowered into the trench
  • All employees are required to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening, including testing for THC. In addition, IMCO maintains a zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy and conducts random drug screenings throughout employment. Employees selected through a neutral, random selection process will be required to participate in testing in accordance with company policy.
