Job Summary

Our Accounting Firm is seeking a full-time Accounting Services Supervisor with five (5)+ years of professional office experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position is responsible for overseeing accounting service functions, maintaining financial accuracy, and supporting department onboarding and workflow processes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Meets productivity goals; deadlines and budgets in assigned areas of responsibility.  Prioritizes appropriately. 
  • Responsible for product quality; thoroughness and accuracy. 
  • Effectively communicates to client and manager information regarding project status and potential engagement issues.  
  • Develops an understanding of the service capabilities of the Firm Services to identify business growth opportunities. 
  • Perform and oversee Accounts Receivable (A/R) and Accounts Payable (A/P) functions.
  • Become proficient in and utilize our proprietary accounting system.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
  • Contribute to new staff onboarding, orientation, training, and team support activities.
  • Close monthly books, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Reconcile balance sheets and general ledger accounts.
  • Manage assigned projects and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal team members.

Qualifications

Preferred:

  • 5+ years of professional office experience in accounting or related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work independently, learn new tasks quickly, and self-manage projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Experience with QuickBooks and Xero.
  • A/R and A/P experience beyond general office accounting.
