Job DetailsJob Location: Bakersfield, CA 93301Salary Range: $70,304.00 - $72,500.00 HourlyJob Title: Assistant Administrator – Community Care Home (CCH) Location: Kern County, CA Position Summary The Assistant Administrator supports the Administrator in the daily operations of a Community Care Home (CCH) serving individuals with developmental disabilities. This role helps ensure compliance with all applicable regulations established by the California Department of Developmental Services (DDS) and the California Department of Social Services Community Care Licensing Division. The Assistant Administrator plays a key role in maintaining a safe, structured, and person-centered environment while supporting regulatory compliance, staff oversight, and quality assurance processes in alignment with Title 17 and Title 22 requirements. Key Responsibilities Operational Support Assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the CCH Support implementation of person-centered services based on Individual Program Plans (IPPs) Ensure the home environment remains safe, clean, and compliant with licensing standards Regulatory Compliance & Documentation Support compliance with DDS, CCLD, Title 17, and Title 22 regulations Assist in maintaining audit-ready documentation and records Monitor documentation for accuracy, timeliness, and completeness Support preparation for DDS and CCL inspections, reviews, and audits Staff Support & Supervision Assist with staff scheduling, training coordination, and onboarding Provide guidance and oversight to direct care staff during assigned shifts Ensure staff are meeting required training and competency standards Support performance feedback and corrective action processes as needed Resident Care Coordination Monitor service delivery to ensure consistency with IPPs Assist in coordinating medical, behavioral, and therapeutic services Support incident reporting and follow-up in accordance with regulations Communication & Collaboration Maintain effective communication with the Administrator, staff, families, and regional center representatives Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and IPP discussions as needed Act as Administrator designee in their absence, as assigned QualificationsMinimum Qualifications Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in human services, healthcare, or related field (preferred) Minimum 1–2 years of experience in residential care or services for individuals with developmental disabilities Prior leadership or lead staff experience preferred Basic knowledge of Title 17 and Title 22 regulations Ability to pass all required background checks and certifications Core Competencies Strong organizational and multitasking skills Knowledge of person-centered practices Attention to detail in documentation and compliance Effective communication and teamwork Ability to problem-solve and support staff in a fast-paced environment Why Work With Us We are dedicated to supporting both the individuals we serve and the professionals who make our mission possible.
