About the Role:
New Hope Freight Inc is looking for a skilled and reliable Class A CDL Driver to join our growing team in Bakersfield, CA. Responsibilities:
- Operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight safely and efficiently
- Pick up and deliver loads according to assigned schedules and route plans
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate logs, paperwork, and electronic records (ELD/HOS compliance)
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route status, delays, or issues
- Ensure proper securement and handling of cargo throughout transport
- Uphold a professional and courteous demeanor with customers and team members
Requirements:
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- Clean MVR and satisfactory driving record
- Must meet DOT physical and medical certification requirements
- Experience with ELD systems and Hours of Service (HOS) regulations
- Strong knowledge of DOT safety rules and compliance standards
- Ability to handle physical demands including loading, unloading, and securing freight
- Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated with excellent time management skills
