About the opportunity

WinnCompanies is looking for a Landscaper to join our team at Camellia Place, a 45-unit affordable housing located in Bakersfield, CA. In this role, you will be involved in the landscape plan, design and implementation of the property. You will perform landscaping functions to ensure the appearance and physical condition of the property is maintained to expectations.

The pay range for this role is $20.00-$22.00 per hour. The selected candidate will adhere to the following schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM

Responsibilities: 

• Participate in landscape design including but not limited to research, design, recommendations, presentations for ownership and management and planting sample areas.
• Maintain grounds by planting, fertilizing and watering flowers; edging and weeding flower beds; installing mulch; and pruning shrubs.
• Landscape design implementation and oversight including ordering plants, planting, monitoring and follow up care.
• Perform preventive maintenance and upkeep on property planters, garden furniture, landscape tools, watering cart and other items as needed.
• Perform special assignments as needed or requested.
• During the off season December-March assist with snow removal, ground maintenance and special projects.

Requirements: 

• 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
• Basic understanding of computer systems including Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills and customer service skills.
