Sunday through Thursday 12:30pm- 9:00pm OR Tuesday through Saturday 12:30pm- 9:00pm

What you bring to SBHG:Ā 

  • Associate’sĀ degree,Ā Bachelor’sĀ degree,Ā graduation fromĀ school of licensed vocational nursing,Ā psychiatric technology, or registered nursingĀ required.
  • Four (4) years of full-time, direct serviceĀ with the mentally ill, preferably youth required.
  • Experience in an inpatient settingĀ giving direct client servicesĀ required.Ā 
  • One (1) yearĀ of leadership orĀ supervisory experienceĀ in a health care settingĀ preferred.Ā 
  • Valid California LVN, LPT, RN, AMFT, APCC, ACSW, LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, CRTS, or RTC preferred

How you will make a difference:Ā 

  • Hires, trains, and supervisesĀ youth counselors,Ā and other staff as assigned.Ā Provides new hire and ongoing training to all supervisees.Ā 
  • Coordinates and directs activities of the PHF with other departments, as neededĀ Ā 
  • Provides consultation to theĀ Training department, jointly with the Director of Nursing and the Clinical Director, for orientation and continuingĀ childcareĀ education.Ā 
  • Ensures that the PHFĀ is in compliance withĀ all Federal, State and local regulationsĀ pertaining toĀ Patient’s Rights.Ā Responsible for reviewing, investigating and providing recommendations for client and family grievances.Ā 
  • ReviewsĀ Youth Counselor documentationĀ for accuracy and provides feedback as necessary.Ā 
  • Participates as a member of the CS YPHF Management Team and facilitates meetings as appropriate.Ā Coordinates program education on topics as designated byĀ Administrator, Clinical Director, and/orĀ Director of Nursing.Ā AttendĀ safety meetings, clinical organizationĀ meetingsĀ and other meetings as assigned byĀ Administrator, Clinical Director, and/or Director of Nursing.Ā 

How you will make a difference:Ā 

  • Hires, trains, and supervises nursing staff and provides direction to other program staff as needed
  • Supervises the direct nursing care provided by all nursing staff, ensuring alignment withĀ Director of NursingĀ standards and expectations.
  • Develops and maintains service objectives, standards of nursing practice, nursing policy and procedure manuals, and written job descriptions for all nursing personnel as part of theĀ Director of NursingĀ leadership scope.
  • Oversees physical healthcare services provided by primary care physicians and emergency services provided through local hospitals, fulfilling keyĀ Director of NursingĀ responsibilities.
  • Provides nursing care as described in the Registered Nurse job description, as needed to supplement nursing staffing and services.
  • In collaboration with the Clinical Director, ensures that the YPHF is in compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations pertaining to nursing care and treatment, clinical mental health services, and Patient’s Rights.
  • Ensures accurate, complete, and appropriate nursing care plans and other nursing documentation are generated and maintained in a timely manner in the medical record.
  • Coordinates and is responsible for monthly licensed nursing meetings; attends and participates in Organized Clinical Meeting, Clinical Department Head, and Department Head Meetings.
  • Participates in the On Call Rotation and may provide coverage for direct care shifts and other shifts within theirĀ licensure/certification.

  • 24/7 inpatient involuntary high acute psychiatric program
  • 16-bed facility for acute youth (ages 5-17),Ā dealing with acute psychiatric symptoms
  • Intensive treatment programs with individualized care plans
  • Available for contracting Central Valley counties
  • Moves clients through five phases: admission; engagement; learning; stabilization and linkage to resources and aftercare
