Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our CT Technologist, you will help patients receive accurate diagnostic imaging so they can get the care they need.

 

Every day, you will operate and maintain Single Slice and Multi-slice Computed Tomography (CT) scanners. You will be expected to produce cross-sectional radiographs of patients' bodies safely and professionally, ensuring quality patient care and adhering to hospital policies and procedures.

 

To be successful in this role, you must be proficient in operating CT equipment, understand radiation exposure for diagnostic information, and be able to provide direct patient care to individuals ranging in age from pediatric through geriatric.

 

 

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Education level necessary to obtain required licensure and certifications
  • Previous CT experience required. 
  • California Diagnostic Radiologic Technology license (CT-RTT) 
  • Certified through ARRT in Computed Tomography (Cat Scan) 
  • Current BLS through American Heart Association (AHA BLS)
  • Ability to read an interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the hospital.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and how to draw and interpret a bar graph.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. 

Preferred:

  • Minimum of two years' as a Radiologic Technologist preferred

Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
