Job Title:Â Maintenance & Transportation Technician/Behavior Technician
Classification:Â Part-time, Hourly, Non-Exempt, 20-30 hours per week
Pay Range: $19.00-$21.00 an hour
Reports to:Â Site Manager at F Street
Summary of Workload: responsible for the overall general upkeep and maintenance, or repair of SEC vehicles, company facilities, grounds, and equipment, will provide transportation support or transportation related duties, and fill in as a covering BT as needed.Â
Qualifications:Â
- High school diploma
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a handyman or maintenance technician with references
- Valid driver’s license with an excellent driver’s record and a meet the criteria of SEC ins. Policy requirements
- Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively
- Basic math skills including understanding measurements
- Understand and follow all health and safety laws and company requirements
- Strong organizational, communication, and multi-tasking skills
- High level of reliability, consistency, and professionalism
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of privileged information
- Knowledge of the use of tools and maintenance supplies
- Must be able to budget, price compare, order and meet all billing requirements and deadlines.
- Must be able to safely transport children with maladaptive behaviors
- Ability to understand and comply with all company policies, safety procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Must be willing to step into a 1:1 session with a consumerÂ
- Must be a mandated reporter
- Must be able to complete and pass ABA Training
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Not limited to the following list)
- Must be willing and comfortable working with children in a 1:1 setting who may be autistic, behavioral and or not verbal.Â
- Facility inspections and business spaces to identify safety issues or concerns
- Perform general maintenance and repairs for SEC centers
- Professionally interact withÂ
- Oversee the routine maintenance and operational readiness of company vehicles, including coordinating repairs, preventive maintenance, and vehicle condition monitoring, cleaning vehicles
- Inspect and maintain safety equipment for SEC centers
- Assemble and install equipment, furniture and fixtures as needed
- Identify and report minor or major repairs
- Maintain company grounds, parking lots, and sidewalks to ensure they are clean, safe and free of debris or litter
- Perform routine landscaping duties as assignedÂ
- Conduct routing cleaning, fueling inspections and maintenance of company vehicles
- Safely transport, move, load, and unload company property, equipment, furniture, supplies, as needed
- Operate company vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and safety procedures
- Take appropriate precautions to prevent damage to company property during transportation
- Assess and identify issues with electrical systemÂ
- Maintain registrations of all SEC vehicles and report when they need to be renewed
- Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned by management
- Undertake emergency tasks such as interior or exterior flooding, tree falls, and infrastructure breakdown due to unforeseen circumstances and weather conditions
- Follow all company policies, procedures, directives, and training requirements.
