Job DetailsJob Location: Baldwin Park Community Clinic - Baldwin Park, CA 91706Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $23.84 - $33.38 HourlyJOB SUMMARY This position will assist in enrolling qualified patients in various health programs, including Medi-Cal, HMOs, Medi-Medi, My Health LA (MHLA), Child Health and Disability Prevention Program (CHDP), Primary Care Physician (PCP), Covered CA, and Cal Kids.   ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide essential membership services to enrolled patients. • Recruit new patients, completing necessary paperwork for enrollments. • Support ongoing patient communications and follow-up. • Support the healthcare team to enhance customer service. • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards. • Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsKNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES • Knowledge of customer service best practices. • High level of professionalism, customer service, and interpersonal skills. • Knowledge of staffing support. • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office. • Ability to communicate in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining a necessary degree of confidentiality. • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and multi-task while maintaining quality standards. • Ability to work in culturally and racially diverse populations and in lower socio-economic conditions. • Ability to pleasantly and effectively represent the organization.   EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE • High school diploma or equivalent OR a combination of education and related work a combination of education and related work experience preferred. • 1 to 2 years of related experience.   CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSURE / LANGUAGE • Certified Application Assistant (CAA), Medical Assistant Certificate or Certified Outreach Worker preferred. • Must provide proof of required vaccinations by federal, state, and local funding sources. • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. • BLS/CPR certification preferred. • Employees driving personal vehicles for El Proyecto business must provide El Proyecto proof of a valid driving license, and auto liability insurance. • El Proyecto will reimburse employees for their mileage at the current rate set by the Internal Revenue Service. To receive mileage reimbursement, the employee must log their mileage and submit the mileage expense report to their Appropriate Administrator.   PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Walking, talking, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 10 pounds; hand and wrist dexterity to utilize a computer.
