Shift: S4 (8:00 PM - 6:30 AM; Monday - Thursday) including a 10% shift differential.Â
We are seeking an experienced Mold Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior hands-on experience in injection molding and a strong understanding of mold installation, setup and troubleshooting.Â
Position Purpose: The Molding Technician performs duties to set up and cycle a variety of Plastic Injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment. They make process adjustments to ensure proper function and quality of parts.Â
Job Responsibilities:Â
- Install, set up, process and troubleshoot injection molding machines to optimize production efficiency and ensure product quality across a variety of engineered plastic materials.Â
- Set up and adjust auxiliary equipment and robotic systems to ensure proper product containment and meet packaging requirements.
- Follow all Molding Work Instructions (MWI), including prints, specifications, work orders, and production documentation.Â
- Identify and resolve molding process issues and quality-related defects.Â
- Perform job changeovers, record downtime and scrap/rejects, and verify Bills of Materials (BOMs) for production accuracy.Â
- Ensure appropriate material and product containment procedures are implemented and maintained throughout the manufacturing process.Â
- Use a variety of measuring instruments, production tools, and equipment.Â
- Communicate tooling concerns, damage, or performance issues to Tooling Department through the Tool Work Order System.Â
- Report machine, equipment, or press-related issues to the Maintenance Department through the Maintenance Request Order (MRO) SystemÂ
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment while adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.Â
- Keep Work Area Clean per Company Housekeeping Standards.Â
- Perform other duties as assigned.Â
Qualifications/Experience
Required:Â
- High School Diploma or equivalent.Â
- 2 - 5 years Injection Molding Experience.Â
- Mechanically inclined and able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt to constant change.Â
- Ability to safely lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.Â
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.Â
- Basic computer skills, including email, data entry, and the use of common software programs.Â
Desired:Â
- Delmiaworks (IQMS) ERP system experience.Â
- Overhead hoist and forklift experience.Â
