Job Description

As a Security Officer - Access Control Driver in Baldwinsville, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced food and beverage location as an Access Control Officer. You will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor visitor and delivery activity, and communicate clearly with employees and guests. You will conduct routine patrols and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents while delivering customer service with integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license under AU Driver Policy Requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control entry and exit at gates, lobbies, and/or dock access points by verifying identification and authorization, issuing temporary credentials, managing visitor logs, and directing traffic flow throughout the location.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems; document irregular activity, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns, and notify the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical events, fire alarms, and/or workplace disturbances, and complete required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around production areas, warehouses, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
