Job Description

As a Security Officer - Entry Control Driver in Baldwinsville, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a food and beverage location, you will greet associates and visitors, verify credentials, manage entry points, and document security-related activity while providing standout customer service. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help to deter incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control entry and exit at gates and/or checkpoints by checking identification, issuing temporary credentials, managing visitor logs, and directing deliveries to designated receiving areas.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems to identify irregular activity and report concerns per post orders and escalation guidelines.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating with site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production, warehouse, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access and identify hazards, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
