Varen, an SAIC company is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join out team. This position in located in Suitland, MD and requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph to be considered.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Primary responsibility for server operations, inclusive of hardware, operating systems, and utilities on the servers.
Install, configure, maintain server and desktop operating systems, databases, and other software applications.
Monitor server and network systems and facilities.
Ensure high quality transmission on the network; Direct testing and analysis of system elements, including communications networks, hardware devices, software, power, communications, lines, modems, and terminals.
Perform troubleshooting.
Install hardware and software.
Perform backups, database administration and file recovery.
Optimize system operations and resource utilization and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
Assist users in resolving IT needs.
