Job Summary
St. Clare of Assisi Catholic School is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Pre-K Teacher Aide to support the classroom teacher in creating a nurturing, faith-filled, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate is patient, creative, and passionate about early childhood education.
The Pre-K Teacher Aide plays an important role in supporting instructional activities, classroom management, supervision, and daily routines that promote children’s academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist the Pre-K teacher in implementing daily lessons, learning centers, and classroom activities
- Supervise children during classroom time, outdoor play, specials, meals, rest time, and transitions
- Help maintain a welcoming, safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment
- Provide individualized student support by reinforcing learning concepts and guiding behavior
- Prepare instructional materials, supplies, and learning stations under teacher direction
- Support cleanliness, organization, and sanitation in accordance with early childhood and school guidelines
- Model and reinforce the Catholic values and mission of the school
- Communicate positively and professionally with students, staff, and families
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and school events as required
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the teacher or school administration
Job Requirements
- Experience working with young children in a preschool, school, or childcare setting preferred
- Warm, patient, and nurturing approach with a genuine love for early learners
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to follow directions and support classroom instruction and management
- Physical ability to lift, bend, sit on the floor, and engage in active play with children
- Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism are essential
- Commitment to the mission and values of St. Clare of Assisi Catholic School and the Catholic Church
