Position Summary: |
The AIT Administrator in Training will learn overall facility operations to provide leadership in quality resident care in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. Key areas of responsibility and training include the following service areas: administration, business office, nursing, resident engagement, social services, medical records, dietary services, maintenance, environmental services, including housekeeping and laundry, rehabilitation services, and quality assurance. |
Education and Experience Requirements: |
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Experience with the senior services preferred.
- Must meet the minimum requirements as defined by the MD Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: |
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited information exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policies and procedures.
- Must be proficient in utilizing Microsoft Suite products.

Essential Duties: |
- Follows the training program as outlined in the Maryland Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators with the guidance of the licensed Nursing Home Administrator.
- Takes directions from the Nursing Home Administrator for additional training/learning experiences beyond Board requirements.
- Compiles and develops reports on budget projections, revenue, and expenses.
- Ensure all team members, residents, families, and guests are treated with the utmost customer service and respect.
- Monitors industry regulations, laws, compliance updates, and makes changes as appropriate
- Perform other related duties as required

Work Environment |
- Little or no risk of exposure to body fluids, infectious waste, or blood-borne disease requiring standard precautions. Team members will be instructed on the proper use of personal protective equipment and specific protocols if assigned duties where they may be at risk.

Physical Demands: |
- Works in a typical office environment, involving sitting for extended periods of time. Sits, stands, bends, and lifts intermittently throughout the workday.
- Involves constant use of computer keyboard, monitor, and telephone.
- May involve physical effort, including lifting or carrying items up to 25 pounds. Adheres to established protocol for lifting and moving objects.
- Frequent long hours and subject to multiple demands.
- Occasional local travel is required, as well as occasional work on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
