Bus Driver

Overview

At FutureCare our Bus Drivers ensure the safety of our residents as well as staff during transportion to and from the facilicities. The selected candidate must be able to work variying shifts and holidays as needed.

Salary Disclosure Statement

The salary mentioned above reflects the potential base pay range for this role. Bonuses or other incentives (if applicable) are offered separately and paid pursuant to the relevant program schedule. All employment offers will consider such factors as overall experience, job-related qualifications, location, certifications/training, etc.

Responsibilities

• Be familiar with SafeDRIVE: Policy and Procedures for Driver Safety and Motor Vehicle Use
• Must be fully trained and authorized prior to driving and only authorized drivers are permitted to drive FutureCare vehicles
• Report any damages or needed repairs ensure authorized drivers are informed of the SafeDRIVE policies and procedures
• Ensure standard practices for vehicle, equipment, supplies and materials maintenance and inspection will be followed
• Follow the vehicle’s maintenance program and will have any necessary repairs completed
• Ensure any unsafe vehicles are removed from service
• Maintain and provide a current list of authorized drivers to the auto insurance carrier
• Follow the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance schedule for each vehicle
• Maintained all vehicles in accordance with FutureCare’s vehicle maintenance program
• Document all maintenance and repairs performed on FutureCare vehicles and retained for the life of the vehicle and maintained in the ordinary course of business

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 years experience driving a passenger van
• Minimum age requirement of 21 years old for operating a FutureCare vehicle
• Verification of a valid Maryland driver’s license and have held a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 2 years
• Successfully pass appropriate training for the type of vehicle operated including, but not limited to, safe use of lifts, safety restraints and adaptive equipment
• Acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) check upon becoming a driver and annually; additional MVR checks may be completed at the Coordinator’s discretion
