The University of Maryland School of Nursing (UMSON) Nurse Anesthesia Program is currently recruiting a full-time faculty member to provide didactic education, support simulation and clinical activities for students in the Nurse Anesthesia program.

UMSON enrolls more than 2,000 students in its baccalaureate, master鈥檚, and doctoral programs. UMSON is part of the University of Maryland graduate professional campus that also includes the schools of medicine, dentistry, law, pharmacy, and social work. Its interdisciplinary graduate school has more than 40 programs in biosciences, law, and social work, and is one of the fastest growing biomedical research centers in the nation. The unique composition of the campus enables health professionals to address clinical care, public policy, and social issues through multidisciplinary research, scholarship, and community action. Its location in the Baltimore-Washington, D.C.-Annapolis triangle maximizes opportunities for collaboration with government agencies, health care institutions, and life science industries.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Primary responsibilities include teaching didactic courses and supporting simulation and clinical instruction of Doctor of Nursing Practice Nurse Anesthesia students.聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Work collaboratively with didactic faculty and clinical preceptors across settings

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Develop, teach, organize, didactic coursework and precept clinical experiences聽聽聽

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Select, advise, and mentor students

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Participate in a program of scholarship

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Earned doctoral degree in nursing or related field or current doctoral student who is nearing completion of program of study.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Current RN license in the state of Maryland

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 At least three years of clinical experience as a nurse anesthetist.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Record of effective teaching, precepting is required

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Experience with regional anesthesia is preferred.

Hiring Range $178,000.00 - $200,000.00
