The Role
The Construction Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and completing specific projects on time, within budget with an eye for quality and safety. The Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the on-site management of the project, in close coordination with the Job Foreman. All aspects of the construction process will be a joint effort between the Supervisor and the Construction Manager. These responsibilities include on-site surveys of existing conditions, takeoffs, material orders (with coordination from Construction Manager and Salesman), scheduling, daily reports, and photos. Maintaining project schedules through management of job Foreman, subcontractors, execution of the work with emphasis on quality, reporting of RFIs, CO's and any other issues that may arise in the field as well as punch list and close out of the project.
Essential Job Functions:
•   Train Construction Foreman and crew members
•   Direct, supervise and mentor field personnel to complete projects in accordance with plans, specifications, and company policies.
•   Interpret project specifications and plans to effectively execute project scopes
•   Complete reporting, safety inspections and site safety meetings.
•   Management of site activities and site safety in accordance with company policies and client expectations
•   Provide excellent communication to Customers and Teammates
•   Review jobs with Construction Manager and/or Sales
•   Maintain and ensure all company equipment is in a good working condition.
•   Issue input to Team and Construction Manager on ideas of how to obtain a higher level of performance
•   Ensure construction team members required certifications are up to date
•   Oversight of documentation and records of jobsite/construction activities.Â
•   Maintenance of SDS and OSHA required forms.
•   Coordination with inspectors for various jurisdictions and the ability to schedule inspection either by phone or electronically.
•   Ability to travel to job sites (may require overnight travel)
Requirements
•   Minimum 8 years’ experience in a construction leadership role
•   Field Construction experience running a crew and working with sub-contractors
•   Equipment operation experience with operating Skid-Steer Loaders, Excavators, and Backhoes.
•   Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
•   Requires state specific AST/UST certifications or ability to acquire them.
•   Strong communication skills
•   Overtime possible; occasional out of town jobs
•   Must successfully complete pre-employment testing to include but not limited to: skills testing and pre-employment background checks as well as drug/alcohol testing
•   Must possess a valid Driver’s License (CDL A preferred but not required)
•   Must be able to pass a DOT physical
•   Ability to lift 50 lbs
•   Ability to work outside during all types of weather
•   Any reasonable request by management
