THE IDEAL CANDIDATE NEED TO BE AN LPN OR A MEDICAL ASSISTANTSummary/Objective: Perform a variety of clinical and/or administrative task to help a dermatologist run their office
Essential Functions
路 Summons and prepares patient for office visit.
路 Assists Physician or PA with medical office procedures.
路 Administers medications, including injections, documents meds given or prescribed by ordering provider.
路 Administers dermatology and pathology biopsy procedures.
路 Assumes responsibility of maintaining current certification in CPR.
路 Accepts responsibility for reading and referencing new policy & procedures and newsletters.
路 Adheres to nursing policy and procedure when documenting in patient鈥檚 record.
路 Attends support staff and department meetings to keep informed of employee issues and concerns as well as organizational updates.
路 Maintains confidentiality of clinic materials.
路 Provides and reinforces patient instruction and education as indicated.
聽Full time- Monday-Thursday 7:45-5; Friday 7:45-1聽
Requirements
LPN Specialist requirements are:
Required Education and Experience: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing. Must possess active Florida license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Preferred Education and Experience: Experience or training in a medical health care facility as a Licensed Practical Nurse. 1 year experience in Dermatology.
Medical Assistant Specialist Requirements are:
Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant work experience within the last 2 years. Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment. Current BLS certification or to be completed within first 90 days of employment
Additional Qualification: 1 Year experience Dermatology.
