Engineering CAD Drafter

Job Description:

Successful engineering company seeks a highly motivated, detail-oriented self-starter to provide CAD drafting support to our engineering team. In this role, you will collaborate with project members in the design, development, and implementation of complex security initiatives.

We serve both commercial and government markets, delivering technologically advanced security solutions. Our offerings integrate multi-level security infrastructures, including both custom and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) physical security systems such as CCTV, access control, alarm systems, and related technologies.

Requirements:
Teamwork
Proficiency in AutoCAD and developing detailed engineering drawings
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Outlook, and Word)
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Authorized to work in the U.S.
Ability to pass required federal background checks (criminal and civil)

Responsibilities:
Analyze architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare shop drawings
Revise shop drawings based on engineer mark-ups until full project approval is achieved
Review designs and red lines for accuracy and quality
Prepare a final record set of shop drawings from approved mark-ups
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines

Pay: $30 per hour

Location: Hybrid remote

During the first 90 days, employees are expected to work on-site full-time for comprehensive onboarding and training. After this period, employees may transition to a hybrid schedule of three in-office days and two remote days per week.
