Executive Director of Patient Care Services, Critical Care - Baltimore, MD

A leading hospital in Baltimore is seeking an experienced Executive Director of Patient Care Services to oversee Critical Care service lines, including ICU, ICU Step Down, and Neuroscience units. This is a senior clinical leadership opportunity for an experienced RN with strong critical care and nursing management experience.

Position Details:

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple patient care departments
  • Oversee clinical operations, staffing, patient outcomes, and patient safety
  • Lead recruitment, retention, mentoring, and staff development
  • Manage departmental budgets and resource allocation
  • Ensure regulatory and quality compliance
  • Drive quality improvement and patient experience initiatives
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing leaders, and hospital administration

Ideal Candidate: Experienced nursing leader with a strong Critical Care/ICU background and proven leadership at the manager or director level.

  • Active Maryland RN license or eligibility to obtain
  • Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) required; DNP preferred
  • AHA BLS
  • 7+ years of progressive leadership experience, ideally in critical care
  • Critical care/ICU clinical experience required
  • Director- or manager-level nursing leadership experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory, safety, and quality standards
