Solar Gaines is seeking a service technician to join their growing team, focusing on coordinating service requests and troubleshooting solar systems.
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in PV installation and/or service, along with OSHA 10 certification and a valid driver’s license.
Key responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing malfunctioning solar systems, ensuring tasks are completed safely and on schedule, and maintaining tools and equipment.
The salary for this full-time role ranges from $27.00 to $35.00 per hour, with additional benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
Candidates should possess strong problem-solving skills, knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes, and be comfortable working in elevated environments.

Solar Gaines is growing, and we are looking to add a service technician to our expanding team. The solar service technician coordinates service requests, troubleshoots, and resolves issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair malfunctioning solar systems and electrical components.
Complete tasks safely, correctly, and on schedule.
Ensure PPE, tools, and equipment assigned are maintained in good working condition or replaced as required.

Skills and Qualifications:

Experience working with commercial and residential PV systems.
Working knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes as they relate to solar PV installations and inspection compliance.
Demonstrated knowledge of DC electrical.
Strong coordination and problem-solving skills.
Experience reading blueprints, plans, and manufacturer specs.
Effective time management and teamwork skills.
Must be able to lift 60 lbs.
Must be comfortable working from elevated environments.
Basic math skills and reading comprehension.
Proficiency in using computers.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of PV installation and/or service experience
OSHA 10 certification
Valid driver’s license
