Description

The Helmet Production Technician is responsible for assembling lacrosse helmets according to STX/NOCSAE specifications and quality standards. This role involves working with components such as shells, jaws, facemasks, chinstraps, etc. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working with their hands in a fast-paced production environment. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and critical to achieving production lead times. The employee will be trained to perform multiple steps across the production line - including component prep, assembly, and in-process quality checks. The duties performed may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Read and follow work instructions and operating procedures.
  • Complete light assembly work through all phases of the process.
  • Operate rivet press and pneumatic screwdriver. 
  • Read and understand quality documents.
  • Perform routine quality checks and tests as required.
  • Ability to use various hand tools (i.e. drills, wrenches, etc.) as needed.
  • Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices.
  • Assist in the maintenance and calibration of manufacturing equipment and tools. Notify appropriate personnel of any equipment malfunctions or issues that may impact production.
  • Perform in-process visual inspections. 
  • Communicate material shortages or equipment issues to supervisors promptly.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and ability to follow company policies.
  • Follow proper safety procedures and wear required protective equipment.
  • Rotate between tasks as needed to support flow and efficiency.
  • Complete other duties as required.

  • Effective communication skills and collaboration with a team.
  • Proven track record of being dependable with excellent attendance.
  • Ability to solve problems and working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to detail and ability to focus for extended periods of time.
  • Strong finger strength, dexterity and great hand-eye coordination.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous assembly experience is a plus.
  • Experience in the lacrosse industry/familiarity with STX products is a plus.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn.
