The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is seeking a Laboratory Coordinator who coordinates operations of the laboratory with an emphasis on administrative coordination.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Track day-to-day operations of laboratory, schedule and maintain records of equipment/facility.
- Prepare, test, and maintain standard laboratory equipment.
- Monitor inventory of supplies and place orders to replenish as necessary.
- Perform laboratory maintenance, e.g. cleaning and/or purchasing equipment and supplies and working with vendors.
- Assemble, test, calibrate, clean, and make minor repairs to standard lab equipment.
- Track budget and grant expenditures, ensure appropriateness of charge and adherence to grant stipulations.
- Order laboratory animals, reagents, and other supplies for experiments based on funding guidelines.
- Process orders, invoices, and perform other related administrative/clerical duties under the direction of administrative/finance personnel.
- Adhere to environmental health and safety guidelines for lab, coordinate training, monitor and ensure compliance with guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or graduation equivalent.
- One year of related laboratory experience.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Starting Salary Range: $17.65 - $31.05 HRLY ($30,000 targeted; Commensurate w/exp.)
