The Electrical Estimator will work on electrical construction projects bid and proposals through construction phase to completion, ensuring the work complies with all standards, specifications and budgets.
Responsibilities
- Develop budgets and cost codes for projects; assist in the preparation of technical proposals, to include assisting in the design and writing the scope of work, management plans, work sequence, safety, quality control and commissioning.
- Gather data and assist in preparing bid proposal estimates and design/build proposals.
- Develop and present clear and detailed project scopes to the customer and meeting with potential customers to present proposals.
- Understand plans and specifications to identify the types and grades of materials and equipment needed and to ensure compliance with project requirements.

- Perform take-offs from drawings; price change orders.
- Understand and apply cost fundamentals; maintaining current, accurate information on prices from suppliers and contractors.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline required.
- 7+ years of experience required in electrical engineering, commissioning, or electrical safety programs preferred.
- Experience in data center, industrial, or large-scale construction environments is highly desirable
Technical Competencies
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 70E, OSHA 1910.147, NFPA 70 (NEC), and other relevant electrical codes.
- Familiarity with LOTO program development, energization planning, and electrical one-line diagram interpretation.
- Proficient in reading and marking up electrical drawings, including power distribution and control schematics.
- Basic understanding of commissioning processes, testing equipment, and electrical distribution systems up to 15kV.
Soft Skills
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation practices.
- Effective communicator across multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work in dynamic environments under supervision while maintaining independence and accountability.

- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety
- NFPA 70E Qualified Electrical Worker
- EIT (Engineer in Training) or FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) certification
- LOTO Procedure Author Training or similar safety credentials

Pay Range
USD $125,120.00 - USD $187,680.00 /Yr.
