The Logistics Coordinator is involved in daily domestic and international logistics administration operations, focusing on foreign-to-foreign shipments, exports from the U.S. and Canada, border crossing customs compliance, providing timely freight rate requests, and issue escalation to team members. This role includes direct supplier and consignee communication, documentation oversight, and logistics vendor interaction.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish is preferred; ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and written)
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal departments and external partners to proactively resolve issues, improve processes, and deliver timely and accurate communication
- Strong knowledge of international logistics, customs processes, export documentation, and fee risks at origin and destination
- Experience with LATAM shipping procedures and customs regulations is a plus
- Experience with UK, EU, Canada, and Mexico shipping procedures and customs regulations is a plus
- Ability to identify issues that require timely involvement and escalation to the VP of Logistics
- Proficiency in logistics systems and Excel
- Knowledge of or ability to learn Canada export/import operations including customs clearance, CARM/CERS and vendor communications
- Proven ability to negotiate logistics agreements and manage vendor relationships
- Detail-oriented, with ability to prioritize and resolve time-sensitive issues independently
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all foreign-to-foreign shipment logistics including customs at origin and destination, transportation, and vendor coordination
- Lead Canada export/import operations including customs clearance using CARM/CERS and vendor communications
- Lead and coordinate majority of US export operations bookings and BL negotiation
- For all regions, daily monitoring of bookings, customs documentation, and cargo tracking and communication/coordination of any changes with the sales operations team
- Act as the primary point of escalation for all LATAM consignee issues, customs delays, and document discrepancies
- Manage export documentation including shipping instructions, draft BLs, and certificates of origin (EUR1, USMCA, etc.)
- Handle UK shipments end-to-end: customs brokers, breakbulk, port-to-warehouse drayage, transloading, and import documentation
- Negotiate logistics procedures with new foreign suppliers and onboard new vendors for global warehousing and transport
- Partner with finance on pre-payments, invoice issuance, and resolution of discrepancies in non-US markets
- Support pricing and procurement by identifying new vendor opportunities, managing rate agreements, and evaluating carriers
Management/Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not currently have direct reports but may lead cross-regional initiatives and vendor onboarding projects.

- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
