How you’ll make an impact in this role

  • Lead and develop a high-performing nursing team through targeted hiring, continuous mentoring, and regular performance evaluations to foster a culture of clinical excellence.
  • Optimize unit workflows and resource allocation to ensure the seamless, efficient, and safe delivery of daily patient care services.
  • Resolve clinical and operational issues proactively, empowering your team to overcome obstacles and maintain an exceptional standard of patient care.
  • Drive regulatory compliance by implementing unit policies and adhering to accreditation standards, ensuring a safe environment for both patients and staff.
  • Manage the unit budget diligently, overseeing expenditures and resource utilization to align financial health with high-quality healthcare delivery.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.  American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • Required professional licensure/certification AND 3 years of experience and 1 year of cumulative leadership experience required.

What additional preferences we're seeking

  • Minimum 3 years acute care RN experience in L&D required.
  • Postpartum and NICU RN experience preferred.
