How This Role Contributes to the Y’s Mission
As an OST Site Director, you will lead a grant-funded, outcomes-driven after-school program that helps young people learn, grow, and thrive. Serving elementary, middle, or high school students in a public school or community setting, you will create an engaging and supportive environment where youth can build skills, confidence, and meaningful connections.
You will bring the program to life by developing a strong team, managing resources responsibly, building community partnerships, and measuring progress toward program goals. Through your leadership, you will expand opportunities for youth while advancing the Y’s mission and core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

A passion for youth development and creating high-quality learning experiences.

Experience leading an after-school, education, youth-development, or community-based program.

Strong leadership skills and experience hiring, coaching, and supervising staff.

The ability to manage budgets, monitor spending, and maintain accurate records.

Experience tracking outcomes and preparing clear data and narrative reports.

Strong relationship-building skills with schools, families, staff, and community partners.

Essential Functions
-
Implement and oversee a high-quality, developmentally appropriate out-of-school-time program aligned with grant requirements and youth needs.

Recruit, hire, train, supervise, evaluate, and support program associates.

Review and approve associate time and attendance and participate in performance management when needed.

Build a positive, collaborative relationship with school leadership while meeting program expectations.

Monitor staffing hours, program expenses, and resources to remain within the approved grant budget.

Track program participation, progress, and outcomes.

Prepare accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly data and narrative reports.

Develop and maintain partnerships that strengthen and sustain the program.

Lead effective staff meetings and actively contribute to school, partner, and organizational meetings.

Develop outreach and marketing materials and maintain an appropriate social media presence for the program.

Support school-year programming and summer programming when offered.

Model the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
