What the role is about:
A Budtender at Green Goods is responsible for working alongside a healthcare team in a retail cannabis dispensary environment. This role reports directly to the Dispensary Manager.

What impact you'll make:
  • Participates in our startup team to help educate and safely deliver products to our patients and customers.
  • Assists customers and caregivers through the dispensary process/experience.
  • Helps train other team members in the use of cannabis-based medicines.
  • Completes operational requirements by maintaining an organized workflow, including verifying preparation and labeling of medications, order entries, and charges.
  • Complies with all state laws and regulations.
  • Participates in record keeping and reporting necessary for State compliance.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with custodial procedures, rules, and regulations, including infection-control standards such as handwashing.
  • Works on company initiatives to achieve set goals and performance indicators.
  • Educates customers on the proper use and storage of medical cannabis medications.
  • Assists customers in determining the best treatment course under the supervision of a registered pharmacist and in conjunction with a provider’s recommendation.
  • Provides exceptional customer service to customers, potential customers, caregivers, and providers.
  • Maintains cash register and accountability for assigned drawer.
  • Completes opening/closing procedures as assigned.
  • Utilizes computer systems and programs appropriately for daily operations, including customer communication, refill orders, appointments, and home deliveries.
  • Assists with incoming orders, shipments, and deliveries of supplies.
  • Attends staff meetings and continuing education, as directed.
  • Maintains and safeguards entrusted confidential information.
  • Works with the eCommerce platform to review and approve online orders and patient accounts.
  • Assists customers in utilizing the eCommerce platform to obtain medical cannabis medications.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma and 1-3 years’ experience in a retail environment.
  • Proficiency with MS Office required.
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptable to change in the work environment.
  • At least 21 years of age, as required by law.
  • Weekend availability.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test as required by law. A positive marijuana test is acceptable if the applicant is a Maryland certified medical cannabis patient.
  • This position has potential to lead to a role in management.
