POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Swim Director, the Pre Lifeguard associate is responsible for successfully completing all required training and certifications to become a certified lifeguard. This position is also responsible for assisting with safety, cleanliness and operation of the swimming pool during operating hours. The primary function of the Pre- Lifeguard associate will be general support to maintain safety for our members on the pool deck.Â

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Focus on quality experiences and engagement within programs, services, and activitiesÂ

Must have understanding of the age and stages of youth development, and work with childrenÂ

Support communication between associates and members/parentsÂ

Informing proper leaders of operating challenges, equipment/supply needs, and/or conflicts during operating hours (either with members and/or associates)Â

Enforces Y in Central Maryland policies, guidelines, and best practices

Encourage member engagement and outstanding member experienceÂ

Foster an environment that is positive and motivating to families, children, and peers.

Effectively coordinate facility usage for assigned programs and activities

Supports center’s annual support campaign and provide leadership support to associate giving and engagementÂ

Ability to work with diverse population, all ages, genders, and sexual orientations

Attend and actively participate in all meetings as assignedÂ
