This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a friendly environment and learn from a passionate team of R&D professionals. This position will provide the opportunity to learn all aspects of the R&D department with an excellent opportunity to become part of the growing talent team and Pompeian family! To learn more about Pompeian please visit Pompeian.com and LinkedIn   Job Responsibilities: This internship aims to support the development and standardization of Packaging Bibles (BOMs) and packaging material specifications R&D intern will work closely with the R&D lead, Operations teams, and suppliers to ensure that packaging materials and finished goods meet defined technical and quality requirements Develop and document technical specifications for packaging materials, including primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging Collect, organize, and maintain technical data from suppliers, internal teams, and existing documentation Assist in the validation of packaging solutions with respect to quality, food safety, transportation, and storage requirements Update and maintain specifications, drawings, and technical files according to internal standards Support the R&D Department in continuous improvement initiatives related to packaging optimization Collaborate cross-functionally and coordinate activities with Marketing, Planning, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Quality teams to support packaging and process development projects Ensure all projects comply with environmental regulations and sustainability goals Perform duties per Pompeian’s mission, goals and core values All other duties and tasks assigned to assist with the R&D Department    Requirements:   Currently pursuing a technical or university degree (e.g., Engineering, Food Science, Industrial Management, or a related field) Must be available to work on site at Pompeian’s Baltimore Headquarters manufacturing plant June 8th - August 14th Strong ability to work as part of a team, analytical and organizational skills  Ability to work with technical documentation and specifications Good communication skills and ability to work in a cross-functional environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus but not required    Benefits: Practical work experience shadowing, mentoring, and training opportunities available within the Quality department  $20.50/hour Gain hands-on work experience with a diverse team Participate in Kaizen Program, ERG’s and community events         Qualifications
