Senior Proposal Writer (Senior Pursuit Specialist)-Transportation/Construction Services

RK&K is seeking an energetic, motivated Senior Proposal Writer (Pursuit Specialist) to join our Baltimore office. Essential Functions

As a senior member of our marketing team, you will play a key role in supporting RK&K’s success through transportation and construction services pursuits.

• Produce high-quality, compliant proposals (Adobe InDesign) and presentations (Microsoft PowerPoint) that showcase RK&K’s expertise, people, and differentiators
• Develop new and update existing marketing content, including resumes, project descriptions, statements of qualifications, and proposal narratives
• Actively participate in marketing meetings with technical staff
• Collaborate closely with technical teams to identify differentiators and develop customized, compelling proposal content.
• Identify, track, and distribute RFQs and RFPs for public-sector clients; review and summarize solicitations for pursuit teams.
• Maintain accurate pursuit records and reporting in Deltek Vantagepoint.
• Support major, high-visibility pursuits that shape the firm’s growth.

Required Skills and Experience

• BA or BS in English, Journalism, Communications or related discipline
• 7 years of experience in A/E/C proposal development
• Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines while delivering consistently high-quality work
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Experience preparing compliant proposals in both standard government and custom formats
• Ability to analyze complex RFQs/RFPs and develop clear pursuit outlines and compliance checklists
• Proficiency with Deltek (or similar CRM), Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Acrobat), and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Strong editing and quality-control skills, with the ability to deliver concise, polished content without sacrificing technical accuracy
• Working knowledge of brand guidelines and proposal best practices.

 Preferred Skills and Experience

• Transportation experience preferred
• Maryland client experience a plus
