GFT is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to join our Construction Services Team in Fairfax! (Relocation is offered as this is a multi-year project)

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Provide pre-bid services such as reviewofbid documents, constructability reviews,andcostestimates.
  • Assistance during the bidding phase.
  • Processshop drawings and other contractors’ deliverables.
  • Assistance in theconstruction change management to includenegotiationsandpreparationofchange orders.
  • Resident engineering and inspection services.
  • Construction schedule review and analysis.
  • Quality assurance.
  • Material testing.
  • Maintenance of project files.
  • Participation in value engineeringstudiesand support with Envision process.
  • Claims avoidance, analysis and resolution.
  • Utilityservicescoordinationduring construction.
  • Manage/coordinate the impact of construction on plant’s operation.
  • Commissioningservicesto include SCADA services, startup
  • Project closeoutand post-construction services
  • Other servicesrelated tothe completionof construction and operation of the facility.
  • Other professional services as requested by the County
  • Construction management field office support–officerental, maintenance
  • Assistance with alternative delivery methods
  • Support County safety personnel to ensuresafety compliance by implementing and monitoringhealth, safety, and environmental plans, conducting site safety audits, and coordinating withcontractors to mitigate hazards.
  • Permitting support and coordination
What you will bring to our firm: 
  • A minimum of 20 years demonstrated experience in project management, construction management, business, or related field managing large projects.
  • Experience in Wastewater Treatment Plant CM or Construction
  • PE mandatory
What we prefer you bring: 
  • CCM preferred
  • Program Management experience preferred
Compensation:The salary range for this role is $225,000 - $260,000.
