Baltimore Country Club is seeking an entry-level Staff Accountant to join our Business Office. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate with internship or accounting experience to build a career in the hospitality industry.

Staff Accountant Responsibility:

  • Manage accounts payable
  • Prepare monthly and ad-hoc reports for management and Club committees
  • Handle monthly allocations of prepaid and accrued expenses
  • Conduct inventory counts and reconciliations
  • Research transactions and present findings
  • Reconcile and prepare returns for monthly sales, liquor, and admissions taxes
  • Assist with the annual audit process
  • Apply and interpret accrual-basis accounting principles
  • Ensure compliance with Club financial policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Professional and polished demeanor in appearance and communication
  • Strong judgment, ability to anticipate needs, and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Availability to work flexible hours to support Club & Member events
  • Ability to speak and write fluently in English
  • At least 1 year of Accounts Payable experience
  • Experience in a country club or hospitality environment
