Position Overview:


We are seeking a highly trained and vigilant Armed Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our facilities, personnel, and visitors. This position requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent customer service, observational skills, and the ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Be visible and conduct frequent patrols of campus grounds and buildings.
  • Respond to alarms and incidents promptly and effectively.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the premises, checking for security breaches or safety hazards.
  • Control access to the facility, ensuring only authorized personnel are allowed entry.
  • Provide assistance and direction to visitors and employees as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and any security-related issues.
  • Provide traffic and parking assistance as needed.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency response teams as necessary.
  • Enforce Campus policies and procedures regarding security and safety.
  • Conduct investigations into security incidents and prepare detailed reports.
  • Stay informed about current security trends and practices.
  • Maintain crowd control for on-campus events.


Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in security or law enforcement is a plus.
  • Valid armed security guard license and certifications as mandated by state regulations.
  • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Maintain crowd control for on-campus events.

The ideal candidates will be available for flexible shifts, including mornings and nights 7 days a week to fulfill the campus needs.


Tentatively, the schedules will be:


Monday - Friday

10am-2pm, 2pm-6pm (4 hour block times may change as needed to provide coverage) and 4:30pm-10:30pm


Saturday & Sunday

8:30am-3:30pm (or until the last campus event ends)
