Position Summary:

Luxcur Medstaff Agency is seeking reliable and compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and Certified Medication Technicians (CMTs) to provide care through supplemental staffing assignments in residential, community-based, and healthcare settings. Work schedules may vary based on client needs and facility requirements. This role focuses on assisting individuals with daily living activities, promoting independence and dignity, ensuring safety, and when certified administering medications in accordance with Maryland regulations and client facility policies.

Location:

Multiple Client Sites – Maryland (Assignments vary by availability)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administering medications in accordance with provider orders, state regulations, and client facility policies (CMT-certified staff only)
  • Monitoring and documenting client responses and promptly reporting changes to nursing or supervisory staff
  • Maintaining accurate, complete, and secure medication administration records in compliance with HIPAA standards
  • Assisting individuals with activities of daily living while encouraging independence, dignity, and personal choice
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support individualized care or service plans
  •  Maintaining clean, organized, and secure medication storage areas
  • Participating in required training and following best practices for medication administration and client support
  • Providing compassionate support to individuals with developmental disabilities and/or behavioral health needs
  • Performing additional duties required by the client facility that are consistent with training, certification, and scope of practice

Qualifications:

Certification: Active certification(s) in the State of Maryland appropriate to the role (DSP and/or CMT)

Experience: Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and/or behavioral health needs preferred

Medication Knowledge: Strong understanding of medication administration protocols and documentation requirements (CMT role)

Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, time-management skills, reliability, and a compassionate, client-centered approach

  • Valid Maryland Certified Medication Technician (CMT) Certification
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Mandt Training Certificate
  • DDA 1 and DDA 2 Training Certificates

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, assist with transfers, lift or reposition individuals, and respond to behavioral or medical needs

Flexibility: Scheduling options include day, evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts based on availability and client needs

Compensation & Benefits:
