What You Will Do:

The Certified Diabetes Nurse Educator collaborates with key nurse leaders and front-line clinicians within and/or across designated affiliates to lead, direct, coordinate, and evaluate the design of key initiatives and projects that have a direct effect on professional practice nursing programs to achieve objectives and standards. Leads and participates on system-wide committees. Provides subject matter expertise to internal and external customers.

Who Should Apply:

  • Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing is required. Applicants without the required degree may be considered, per nursing guidelines.
  • Three to five years of clinical nursing experience with three years’ program or project management experience.
  • Current registered nurse licensure in the state of Maryland; Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) credential is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary setting in order to facilitate problem solving and establish productive working relationships.

Salary Range: Minimum /hour - Maximum /hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
