Job DetailsJob Location: Baltimore, MD 21210Salary Range: $40,875.00 - $65,625.00 SalaryGENERAL SUMMARY:   Roland Park Country School, a K-12 independent girls’ school, seeks a full time reduced (75%) Middle School Music Teacher to begin August 2026. The individual in this position reports directly to the Middle School Head and will work in collaboration and partnership with the Performing Arts Department.    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   Through a student-centered, general music curriculum which centers around singing, but also includes movement, and classroom instruments, including but not limited to handbells, keyboard, guitar, and/or ukulele, the Middle School music teacher will spread and encourage a love and appreciation of music among all students. This position includes general music classes, as well as two, semester-long, elective choral ensembles: 8th Grade Singers and Middle School Chorus. Proficient piano skills and choral directing experience are preferred.    While working closely with the Middle School Head and fellow Performing Arts Department members, the Middle School music teacher is responsible for coordinating music performances for all Middle School performances throughout the year, including the Middle School Winter and Spring concerts, as well as occasional performances at All-School Convocations. In addition, this position includes the role of Music Director for the annual Middle School Musical, which is produced in collaboration with the Choreographer and Technical Director.    WORK CONDITIONS:  The Middle School Music Teacher  is a 75 %, exempt 10 month position.  The individual in this position is expected to work during all hours as may be assigned by the School and during other hours for events and activities. The Middle School Music Teacher is expected to perform their job duties on campus, unless otherwise permitted by the Head of School.    COMPENSATION DISCLOSURE: In accordance with Maryland's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, we are committed to providing transparent wage information for all posted job opportunities. The salary range for this position is $27,250 - $43,750 annually.
