Job DetailsJob Location: Baltimore, MD 21230Salary Range: $26.00 - $30.00 HourlyJob Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our production team. This role involves fabricating and assembling various metal products using a range of tools and machines. The ideal candidate will have strong welding skills, a mechanical mindset, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints. This position requires hands-on work within a fast-paced production environment to support manufacturing processes, ensure high-quality output, and follow applicable ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Operate fabrication machines such as resistance welders, MIG welders, TIG welders, hand bending tools, press brakes, grinders, ring rollers, saws, and shears. Select appropriate materials such as mild steel, stainless steel, or aluminum for each project. Read and interpret measurements, blueprints, sketches, and assembly instructions. Measure workpiece dimensions to verify accuracy, adjust specifications as needed, and ensure quality standards are met. Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform necessary repairs on welding and fabrication equipment. Complete minor maintenance tasks such as oiling machines, dies, or workpieces. Monitor machine operations to detect workpiece defects or mechanical issues. Analyze production results to determine optimal solutions and problem-solve defects. Report errors on the production line and take corrective action as needed. Complete quality control forms in accordance with company procedures, including applicable ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards. Remove burs, sharp edges, or rust from workpieces to maintain product integrity. Always maintain a clean and safe working environment. Follow all safety protocols and regulations as adopted by the company. Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to ensure efficient workflow and problem resolution. Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor. Work with a team and communicate important information during shift change QualificationsQualifications and Skills: Essential Knowledge: High school diploma or GED. Ability to read, speak, and write in English. Understanding of welding principles, fabrication processes, and blueprint reading. Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and resistance welding. Experience using measuring equipment (e.g., tape measure, micrometer) for verification of parts. Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and cost-efficient manufacturing techniques. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new equipment and techniques. Problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Physical ability to lift up to 55 lbs., perform repetitive tasks, and stand for extended periods. Tolerance for exposure to heat, sparks, dust, and other manufacturing conditions Physical Requirements: Lifting: Frequently lift boxes and materials weighing up to 55 lbs. Standing/Walking: Continuous standing and walking during shifts. Pushing/Pulling: Move heavy workpieces and machinery components as required.
