Maintenance Technician

If you excelled in your shop classes in high school, love to fix things, work on vehicles, or love to be in the garage tinkering around, this role is for you! It’s a to opportunity to learn and continue to grow your maintenance skills in our production facility. In this role, you will be performing preventative maintenance and general repairs at our production facility on conveyor systems, and various production machines. 

 This is a full-time benefit eligible position. 

 Location: Bancroft, WI (a short commute from Stevens Point or Wisconsin Rapids)

 Hours: Monday – Friday 10-hour shifts (flexible start times) & one ½ day a month on a Saturday

What qualifications are desired?  

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience in the maintenance field preferred
• Mechanical Aptitude
• Experience with food safety standards preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License 
• Strong Work Ethic 
• Demonstrated Basic Computer Skills
• Willingness to Learn 

Essential Job Duties 

• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
• Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
• Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
• Comply with safety regulations (including food safety) and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Ability to travel between local plants when needed.
