We are looking for a full-time, hourly Employment Specialist to join our team and support individuals throughout Northern Maine. In this role, you won’t just be filling jobs, you will be changing lives by connecting talented individuals with local businesses. What You’ll Be Doing Community Networking: Reach out to local business owners and managers to discover their staffing needs and collaborate on creating customized job opportunities. Individualized Advocacy: Match job seekers with positions that fit their unique skill sets, aptitudes, and goals. On-the-Job Support: Provide short-term job coaching and direct care to help individuals transition smoothly and succeed in their new roles. Team Collaboration: Participate in stakeholder meetings, implement employment plans, and work alongside families, guardians, and agency teams. Progress Tracking: Maintain accurate documentation, including weekly WROCs and monthly progress reports. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalency. Valid state-issued driver’s license, current vehicle insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle. At least one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Must pass all comprehensive state and company background checks. Preferred Experience: ACRE Certification and DSP Certification (or willingness to obtain). A background in sales, or community outreach is a major plus. Supervisory experience preferred.
