About the role

We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Operator to join our team. As a CNC Mill Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to perform various machining operations. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career growth and development.

What you'll do

  • Set up and operate CNC milling machines to perform precision machining operations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
  • Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machine attachments.
  • Load raw materials into the machine and monitor the machining process.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
  • Make adjustments to machine settings as necessary to ensure proper dimensions and tolerances.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.

Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining principles.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Experience operating lathe, press brake machine, or other related equipment is a plus.
  • Basic math skills for performing calculations and measurements.
  • Familiarity with hand tools used in machining operations.
  • Knowledge of SolidWorks or other CAD software is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Understanding of tooling selection and assembly processes.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy.
