About the role
We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Operator to join our team. As a CNC Mill Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to perform various machining operations. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career growth and development.
What you'll do
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines to perform precision machining operations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machine attachments.
- Load raw materials into the machine and monitor the machining process.
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
- Make adjustments to machine settings as necessary to ensure proper dimensions and tolerances.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining principles.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Experience operating lathe, press brake machine, or other related equipment is a plus.
- Basic math skills for performing calculations and measurements.
- Familiarity with hand tools used in machining operations.
- Knowledge of SolidWorks or other CAD software is preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Understanding of tooling selection and assembly processes.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy.
