Material Handler/Forklift Operator

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team at Lawrence Equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. Your contributions will be vital to maintaining our high standards of production and operational efficiency.

What you'll do

• Operate forklifts and clamp trucks to load and unload materials safely.
• Utilize RF scanners to track inventory accurately within the warehouse.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
• Assist in managing warehouse operations by following established procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely order fulfillment and delivery.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a forklift operator or in a similar role within a warehouse environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to operate various types of heavy equipment.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and RF scanning technology.
• Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks as required.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Morning shift

Experience:

• Driving: 2 years (Required)
• Forklift: 2 years (Required)
• Materials handling: 2 years (Required)
• Class A or Class B license as a plus / preference.
